Duties will include:
--Environmental Agent Study Examinations (EAS)
--Evaluation/examination of adult patients in outpatient setting.This is outlined in depth in the medical center By-Laws and during granting of privileges, as noted in our credentialing process; some of which are listed below.
--Primary evaluation for care of active duty servicemen and veterans at the medical center including history and physical examination, ordering of pertinent laboratory and radiology tests, seeking appropriate consultations' and initial diagnosis and disposition of these patients for Disability Evaluation Service Line (DESL); Compensation and Pension (C&P); Integrated Disability --Evaluation System (IDES); Environmental Agent Study (EAS); and PRN Surveillance Examination and Pre-employment examinations.
---Timely communication with the specialists and provide pertinent medical information as necessary and appropriate for the patient to be referred.
--Enter all reports into the computerized patient record system (CPRS) on the day of the visit to remain in compliance with JC and other regulatory bodies requirements for documentation.
--The physician must possess required computer skills to navigate and use the computer patient record system (CPRS) utilized by the VA.Orientation to CPRS will be provided by the VA.
--Any administrative requirement for referral and /or transfer to another medical facility will be completed by VA personnel and approved by the Chief of Staff or designee prior to transfer.
--Perform services within the VA policies and procedures and the regulations of the medical staff by-laws of the VA facility.
--Possibility of periodic intermittent participation on VHA Whole Health Initiative
