Technologies deployed at the Court will include:
Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, Miles33 OASYS XML Publishing Software. Miles33 is an XML code-based typesetting and page-layout/publication application used for producing the Court's preliminary prints and the final bound volumes. Other publishing software employed includes Adobe Creative Cloud Suite of applications: InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and others. Digital printing technologies used include: Xerox Nuvera 314 EA Digital Perfecting Production System with Bourg Power Square 224 in-line finisher, Xerox EX 180 Digital Color Press, Lexmark postscript printers, HP Designjet T1500 Wide format digital printer. A variety of binding equipment is used in production of Court materials: VeloBind fastener, Fastback tape binder, Challenge folder, Challenge 20/20 cutter, Bind-Fast-5 glue pad/perfect binder, and the GBC HeatSeal H700 Pro laminator. A Composition Specialist is also responsible for Internet and website publishing of opinion-related digital media content. A secure HTML-based system is used to upload and edit PDFs, XML, and HTML content to the Court's website.
The ability to continue on the lifelong learning path is essential to all staff supporting this critical department and the Court. Advanced training on department systems will be provided; some travel-related training courses should be expected.
Production of print and digital media, requiring an applicant who is able to multi-task while providing "critical" support operations for opinion/legal book composition and related print/digital media production. The Publications Unit assists the Justices' Chambers and the Reporter's Office with the confidential Opinion circulation process. Transforms multi-format documents, expedites web document conversions/postings and HTML, as well as production and dissemination of vital Court products. Applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment of innovation, teamwork, and challenge. Candidate should be capable of working alone on shifts and projects independently, where necessary. Other duties as assigned.
Successful candidates will have either a college degree and web proficiency utilizing state-of-the-art software applications for converting and uploading digital files to the Internet, or a minimum of 8 years of printing/digital publishing experience.
