The Assistant Chief, MHRRTP assists/supports the Chief, MHRRTP in the management of 150 beds in a combined Domiciliary Care for Homeless Veterans (DCHV) and General Domiciliary care program. This position provides guidance in providing residential rehabilitative care to Veteran patients who have a wide range of mental health and substance abuse illnesses and rehabilitation care needs, and provides coverage for the Chief, MHRRTP as needed.

Physical Requirements: (Based on Clinical requirements) Psychologist and Social Worker: Light lifting (under 15 pounds), straight pulling, reaching above shoulder, use of fingers, walking, standing, near vision correctable at 13" to 16" to Jaeger 1 to 4, far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20 and to 20/40 in the other, specific visual requirement, hearing (aid permitted), emotional and mental stability, ability to read written material, and working closely with others.
RN: Lifting, prolonged standing and sitting, frequent bending, walking, climbing, reaching, repetitive motion and stooping. The mental/sensory requirements include recall, reasoning, problem-solving, hearing, speaking clearly, writing legibly, keyboarding, reading and logical thinking.
