The Staff Nurse PTSD-RRTP (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder - Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program) is assigned to Nursing Service of the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS). The incumbent provides nursing care focused on treatments and therapies of patients suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, in improving their health and daily living. The incumbent addresses issues on anxiety, depression, hypervigilance, substance abuse, stress and anger management, among others.

The incumbent is accountable for a defined group of patients for a specific shift as the primary nurse. The Staff Nurse, cognizant of total unit workload, organizes and sets priorities in completing assignments in a safe and timely manner. Additional duties include, but not limited to the following:
