The APN/Cardiology is responsible for providing and coordinating the care of patients within Cardiology. The role requires autonomous decision making based on knowledge of nursing and cardiovascular diseases including internal cardiac defibrillator or pacemaker devices and heart failure. The APN provides care to these patient populations in a clinic setting and participates in Telemedicine consultation to assist in self-management of medications and symptoms to maximize health maintenance.
