Some of the Duties for this position are but not limited to:
Informs higher level management of anticipated staffing variances and recommends promotions, reassignments, or other personnel changes such as retention or release of probationary employees, periodic step increases, and recommending recognition of superior performance in the therapeutic radiologic oncology area.
Responsible for the administrative supervision of all therapists and clerical staff in the department.
Directs the technical operations, makes decisions concerning appointments, promotions, technical and status changes, and recognition of various performance levels.
Is responsible for performance appraisals and competency of TRTs as well as initiating disciplinary action as appropriate.
Performs a wide variety of complex duties of a strategically critical nature
Responsible for the coordination and development of the Quality Improvement Program.
Responsible for safe operating procedures of all therapy equipment throughout the service
Performs morning checks of linear accelerators and simulators when necessary.
The incumbent works in a highly technical environment with patients and members of many other professions to provide a high standard of clinical care.
Assures adequate safeguards are maintained for safety of the patient and the operator.
Assumes primary responsibility for policies and procedures within Radiation Oncology Service ensuring they are current and applicable.
Explains the validity of the radiographic results given the conditions and extenuating circumstances in which the sturdy was produced.
Manages and coordinates all activities involving the training of radiation therapist until they are deemed totally proficient.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
