Work Schedule: 7:30am - 4:00pm, with alternating weekends and share of Holiday coverage as required. Coverage of different shifts as needed.
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a direct-care provider who has the technical proficiency, excellent observation skills necessary for initiating, performing, and completing assigned duties in delivering comprehensive practical nursing care to variable patient populations. The LVN works under the supervision of an RN and reports to Nurse Manager of the DOM. The LVN demonstrates active collaboration and communication with the Mental Health Team.
The incumbent demonstrates excellent ability to balance many competing demands and sets priorities effectively, while supporting multiple providers. Has knowledge and ability to appropriately carry-out assigned patient care based on patients' conditions. Completed work needs only a general review by Registered Nurse for appropriateness and conformity with established policies and procedures.
