This position is located in the Office of the Commissioner. The incumbent serves as a Staff Assistant and provides assistance to the office on all matters relative to the coordination, integration, and needs of the office. The incumbent reports to the Commissioner.

If selected for this position you will perform the following duties:
Manages all incoming correspondence directed to the Chairman; determines which mail is appropriately handled by him/her, the Chairman, other members of the Chairman's staff or bureaus of the Commission.
Prepares required travel authorizations and vouchers for all staff in the office including staff in the Privacy Office and the Chief Technology Officer. Coordinates with the Office of the General Counsel Ethics Office for approval of NFS travel.
Oversees office space for the Chairman's office including maintenance of equipment needs, furniture, and office supplies.
With proper notation, routes mail to appropriate office for disposition. Reviews replies for content and conformance with established policy, grammatical correctness and appearance before referring it to the Chairman. Drafts letters based on the Chairman's personal views and policies.
