As a TOOLS AND PARTS ATTENDANT, WG-6904-6, you will plan use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a week-to-week or month-to-month basis; establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, plan work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, policies set by the supervisor; coordinate work with supporting/related work functions controlled by other supervisors; determine the number/types of workers needed to accomplish specific projects; redirect individual workers, resources to accomplish unanticipated work; inform the supervisor of the need to revise work schedules, re-estimate labor and other resources; participate with the supervisor in the initial planning of current/future work schedules, budget requests, staffing needs, estimates, recommendations as to scheduling projected work; investigate work related problems such as excessive costs/low productivity and determine causes; implement corrective actions within authority to resolve work problems; recommend solutions to staffing problems, engineering requirements, work operations directed by other supervisors; plan/establish overall leave schedules; determine training needs of subordinates, arrange for accomplishment; set performance standards, make formal appraisals of subordinate work performance; initiate recommendations for promotion or reassignment of subordinates; perform the non-supervisory work of the function, as needed; implement regulatory safety requirements, ensure that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment, follow pertinent safety precautions; adhere to published guidance, ensure employee compliance with standing operating procedures for the activity; implement/comply with facility, agency, state, federal regulatory Occupational Safety and Health, environmental requirements; ensure use of quality conformant products through compliance with established materials shelf life programs; ensure all aspects of Force Protection to include physical security, key control, property accountability, access control, employee protection is in accordance with established policies/regulations; ensure subordinates are trained, qualified, equipped with proper personnel protective equipment, environmental mediation equipment/materials; ensure the employees wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions; prepare for and participate in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises; perform other duties as assigned.
