As a Student Trainee (Computer Science), in the OCC Pathways Internship Program, you will:
Note: Upon successful completion of your internship, you may be eligible for conversion to a permanent Computer Scientist, NB-1550-III (equivalent to GS-5/7), which has non-competitive promotion potential to NB-V (equivalent to GS-11/12/13). A Computer Scientist at the NB-V level provides technical knowledge and plans, directs and coordinates projects involving the development of new or improved computer science methods, techniques, principles and concepts. A Computer Scientist also utilizes knowledge of the theoretical foundations of computer science, computer systems architectures, system software organization, and computer networks to develop new state-of-the-art technical requirements for hardware/software for the Comptroller of the Currency.
