DUTIES FOR NF-01, WAITER (TRAINEE):
This is a developmental position to Waiter, NA-7420-03, PD#AK079. As a trainee, develops skills and knowledge as a dining room and cocktail lounge waitress. Is assigned progressively more responsible and detailed tasks in food and beverage service in the clubs or other facilities, which provide dining room and/or cocktail lounge service. Assigned tasks and instructions include exposure to setting up work area with required place settings, silverware and condiments; receiving patrons and taking food and beverage menu orders; providing table service in bar, cocktail lounge, or dining room; preparing sales checks and receipt of cash, or charge card; registering sales manually, or in cash register; and tallying cash receipts at end of shift. Duties may also include related assignments according to function in which participating such as preparation of dining area for formal or banquet table arrangement; cleaning area after the function, disposing of soiled linens, china and glassware, and refuse. DUTIES FOR NF-02, WAITER:
Takes orders placed by guest for alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages and food items from menus. Required to be fully familiar with all food items available and all beverage items available for guest consumption. Orders drinks from bartender and delivers to guest. Maintains sales record, collects cash or payment by credit card from guest. Clean, reset and arrange tables as required. Remove used glassware, china, and silverware to steward area for cleaning. DUTIES FOR NF-03, WAITER:
Sets tables, arranges place settings and table decorations. Receives guests, makes suggestions and answers questions about food, wines and other items available. Takes orders. Places order with and receives food and beverages from kitchen and bar when required. Maintains sales record. Collects cash or payment by credit card. Clears and cleans tables and other customer service areas. May provide work direction to other dining room staff as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned.
