THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a GS-0301-10 BASE OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR, Position Description Number D1162000 in SPMD 1921and is part of the MO Fort Leonard Wood Training Site.
APPOINTMENT FACTORS: This position is a Temporary/Temporary Promotion NTE One Year vacancy in the Excepted Service. If selected individual is in a Permanent status (Tenure 1 or 2), that individual will be placed on a temporary promotion and will retain their permanent status. If selected individual is in an Indefinite status (Tenure 3), that individual will be placed on a temporary promotion and will retain their Indefinite status. Any other individual selected for this position will be placed into a Temporary appointment. Management retains the right to terminate the temporary appointment or temporary promotion action without further notice. Permanent and/or Indefinite status individual will return to their former position when the temporary promotion is terminated. Until the incumbent returns to this position, the temporary/temporary promotion can be extended beyond one year. This is a non-bargaining unit position.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: OFFICER/WARRANT OFFICER
Since the position is temporary in nature, the compatibility requirements will be waived for a period of time not to exceed one year. Selecting official must verify that selected individual is currently assigned to a military unit in the Missouri National Guard and that the selection does not create grade inversion.
Maximum Military Grade: CPT (O-3)
Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion).
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education or training which provides you with general knowledge of the principles of organization, management and administration; and experience using computer and automation systems.
GS-10 Specialized Experience: Must possess 30 months of specialized experience in managing overall operational aspects of a training center, to include long and short range planning, and directing the operation, maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, and construction of real property. The specialized experience must include experience overseeing installation training center facilities, utilities, buildings, structures, roads, ranges, water systems, disposal systems, sewage systems, bridges, communications and electrical systems. Experience in directing, coordinating, and overseeing the work of subordinates; planning and scheduling work to be accomplished by subordinates, and setting and adjusting short-term priorities.
