Merit Promotion, VEOA, Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act
The Branch is responsible for the establishment and administration of the Commercial Services Program at WWII Valor in the Pacific and Honouliuli National Monuments. The Branch establishes requirements, oversees operations and administers the terms of the various authorizations in a manner consistent with the best interest of the park and the park visitor.
The commercial services branch generates gross revenues from retail, transportation, special park use, and film permits of over $200 thousand annually. The incumbent of this position is responsible for ensuring contract compliance, following established policy to evaluate concessioner and permittee performance, rate administration, operations proposal review, and addressing visitor and employee comments. This position is also responsible for exercising proper steering, control, screening, administration, and reporting of special events and commercial filming under permit in the park, working within NPS policies and the complex operational structures of VALR and HONO. As Concession Management Specialist you will be responsible for the following:

Physical Demands: Work is primarily sedentary and involves working in an office environment. There will be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items and driving an automobile.
Working Conditions: The WWII Valor in the Pacific Monument is located in a tropical environment, and is subject to hurricanes and tropical storms. The WWII Valor in the Pacific NM is a very busy, compact, managed landscape that receives over 1.7 million visitors per year. Your work will be conducted in this location as well as in an office environment.
