Honors Paralegals are highly successful, highly motivated individuals who work with agency experts in budget and finance, human capital, information technology, records and facilities management to help run the FTC on a day-to-day basis. Honors Paralegals gain experience in federal budgeting, performance assessment, project management, risk management, and planning. The varied and challenging assignments of this position include: analyzing data; researching government policy, regulations, and requirements; drafting policies, compliance reports, and responses to audit findings; creating excel spreadsheets, dashboards, and PowerPoint presentations; and helping to lead teams. In the course of their work, Honors Paralegals will learn about federal finance, budget, and human capital management; information technology governance, data security, privacy, and cybersecurity; facilities and records management; and federal regulatory compliance. Honors Paralegals gain a keen understanding of what it takes to run a well-regarded federal agency.
Honors Paralegals have gone on to get graduate degrees in public policy, law, and business, among other disciplines.
