The incumbent will act as subject matter expert in areas relating to security in the data science field. S/He will supervise and manage the NTIS Security Division comprised of security personnel and security vendors who safeguard NTIS' assets, intellectual property and computer systems, as well as the physical safety of employees and visitors. S/He will have a comprehensive knowledge and solid understanding of the information technology and information security. The incumbent will oversee and leverage the process and the security authorization requirements to baseline the NTIS requirements for security authorizations for cloud services including understanding the contractual provisions to have vendors meet security requirements. S/He will oversee the NTIS annual report on cloud services being used that to not meet security requirements; oversee, asses, authorize and continuously monitor security controls that are NTIS's responsibilities for internal and business-related systems. The incumbent will oversee, assess, authorize and continuously monitor security controls that are NTIS's responsibilities for customer systems. S/HE will advise the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the Director on all areas of IT security, personnel security and physical security. The incumbent will establish methods, processes, tools and security infrastructure that provides the OCIO team with the best possible situational awareness for all dimensions of security.
