This position is located at FORT HOOD OUTREACH SERVICES, CYS SERVICES AND CENTRAL REGISTRATION.
The School Age Center (SAC) provides childcare before and/or after school for children ages 6-10 in grades 1st - 5th. Full-day care is provided during school vacation periods. The SAC program is certified by the Department of Defense and accredited by the Council of Accreditation (COA). The framework for our SAC curriculum is based on the following four service areas: Sports, Fitness, and Health; Life Skills, Citizenship, and Leadership; Arts, Recreation, and Leisure; and Mentoring, Education, and Support Services.
Kids on Site offers 24/7 hourly child care for ages 6 weeks to 12 years in a variety of on and off post events. These hours can include early morning as well as late evenings depending on the event to include weekends. Applicants interested in working for the Kids On Site program must be flexible in their availability
This announcement will have bi-weekly cut-offs every wWednesday, with the first cut-off date of 03/21/2018. All eligible applicants from that week will be referred to the hiring manager on the Thursday after the cut-off date.

Maintains control of and accounts for whereabouts and safety of children and youth. Plans, coordinates, and conducts activities for program participants based on observed needs of individual children and youth ranging in age from 6 weeks to 18 years. Implements activities and special events that meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of children and youth. Establishes a program environment that sustains participant interest and promotes positive interactions with other children, youth, and adults. Helps prepare, arrange, and maintain indoor and outdoor activity areas and materials to accommodate daily schedules. Prepares and implements program options for children and youth with special requirements.
This position requires a High School Diploma, General Equivalency Diploma or College Transcripts. Please see above for educational requirements. Transcripts, High School Diploma General Equivalency Certificate must be uploaded along with application packet. FAILURE TO UPLOAD PROOF OF EDUCATION WILL RESULT IN AN INELIGIBLE RATING.
