About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the ILSC, Ground Combat Support R&S Directorate. The referral

Develops modification packages, repair parts kits, and maintenance support plans relative to product improvement proposals to accompany equipment to the field.
Participates with PM in development of integrated logistics support plans, which address all of the principal elements of support for the total system life cycle.
Assures that the maintenance or modification of equipment materiel is being performed at a high level of effectiveness and efficiency.
Provides technical assistance in the operation and maintenance of assigned weapon system covering field and sustainment maintenance to units in CONUS and or OCONUS.
Recommends design changes, modification of equipment, and changes in publications, policies, and procedures based on practical knowledge and observation of equipment.
Responsible for input into the development of Program of Instruction (POI) or Training Support Packages for the introduction of new equipment to the field.
Attends provisioning conferences and meetings as a representative of the TACOM LCMC concerning assigned weapon system to ensure quality of data uploaded to the Provisioning Master Record.
Interacts and responds to all questions and concerns raised by the field at the time of training and subsequent to the training required.
Maintains contact with other commands, private industry, other Federal Agencies, other peripheral functional areas, and using units to establish, clarify and disseminate information relative to maintenance and provisioning of assigned weapon system.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Requires extensive travel, involving both CONUS and OCONUS travel.

Individuals must have experience that provided knowledge of the characteristics, uses, and properties of equipment in addition to the specialized experience listed below. This experience may have been gained in trades or crafts, engineering technician, production control, inspection, or other work related to the specialization of the position to be filled. Examples of qualifying experience include: Experience working as a skilled mechanic or maintenance worker, sales or service engineer, or planner or estimator in a technical group dealing with manufacture, utilization, repair, or operation of equipment; reviewing and applying technical specifications and requirements; analyzing equipment and forecasting spare parts requirements; reading and interpreting engineering change orders, equipment requisitions, shop orders, and work orders; analyzing contract specifications and examining pertinent equipment to determine if specifications are met; OR analyzing or supervising maintenance, repair, or production operations to determine methods of improvement.
AND
Specialized experience is defined as: Work involving knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures of new and established assigned equipment, such as, weapon systems or tracked/wheeled vehicles and storage operations for assigned equipment. Knowledge of tools, repair parts and other materials and techniques, required to perform equipment maintenance operations, analyze and validate technical documents; recommend solutions for systemic repair and maintenance issues occurring in the field; and simplify maintenance and supportability requirements. Knowledge of analytical techniques for gathering data on new or modified equipment, needed to make assessments on potential design modifications.
