About the Position:
This announcement will be used to fill Nurse (Clinical/Obstetric-Gynecological) positions located in the Tacoma, Washington area for the Department of Army.
These positions are located in Inpatient Services. At the GS-10 level these positions are located in Postpartum, 3S and at the GS-11 level these positions are located in Labor & Delivery.
Tacoma is a progressive city of 200,000 nestled between Seattle and the state capital of Olympia.
The initial cut-off date for referral consideration is 5 days from the opening date of the announcement. Applicants applying by the initial cut off will receive first consideration. Applications received after this date will be given referral consideration as vacancies occur.
Permanent, term, part-time, intermittent or temporary positions may be filled from this solicitation.
Term positions: A term position is time-limited and may be extended to a maximum of six years.
Temporary Positions: A temporary position is time limited and may be extended in one year increments to a maximum of three years and may be terminated at any time during the duration of the appointment.
Intermittent Positions: This position does not provide guaranteed work hours each week, and work will be assigned on an intermittent "as needed basis." This position will NOT lead to a full-time position. Intermittent employees are NOT eligible for benefits (Health and Life Insurance) (Annual and Sick Leave).
Positions may be filled at the GS-10 or GS-11 level. Positions listed with multiple grades may be filled at any grade level and may or may not have promotion potential.
Duties described on this announcement reflect the full performance GS-11 level although the full performance of the position filled may not be at the GS-11 level.
