This announcement is for a Regular Part Time, NF-02 Administrative Support Assistant with Fort Leavenworth's Child and Youth Services (CYS). CYS provides quality childcare, outstanding school age care, exciting child & youth enrichment programming, fun and challenging sports opportunities and exceptional instructional programming for all CYS families. Applicants for this announcement may be selected to work within any one of Fort Leavenworth's CYS facilities. Facilities include Child Development Centers (6 weeks to 5 years), School Age Centers (1st-5th grades), Youth/Teen Center (6th grade - 18 years), the SKIES Unlimited Program (all ages), as well as Parent and Outreach Services (registration & special needs support, parent support, and Kids on Site).

Major Duties include, yet are not limited to:
Provides excellent customer service and administrative support including typing/word processing, mail preparation, copying, mail distribution, telephone calls, file maintenance, gathering of statistical data, and preparing of travel orders for CYS personnel.
Prepares a variety of correspondence, memorandums, briefings and Daily Activity Reports and other reports required for day-to-day operations.
Receives children, youth, parents and visitors to the CYS facility ensuring Risk Management procedures remain in place.
Computes and records individual transactions for customers using a calculator and CYMS system, entering data for tracking purposes into predefined categories for regulatory signed statistical reports and tracking of program vacancies and occupancy rates.
Articulates policies relating to patrons' fees, waiting lists and program events.
