Mixed worked schedule: Positions are temporary with mixed work schedules based on student's schedule and the needs of the agency. Work may be part-time or full-time.
Intern: This is an indefinite, Excepted Service appointment that will continue as long as the incumbent meets the eligibility requirements under the Pathways Internship program and funding is available.
Relocation: Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be paid. All travel, transportation, and relocation expenses associated with reporting for duty in this position will be the sole responsibility of the selected employee.

Provides general information and directs visitors to appropriate personnel for specific information. Receives and distributes incoming mail, and prepares outgoing mail for delivery. Maintains central filing systems. Serves as travel coordinator. Prepares travel documents including authorizations and vouchers (from traveler's receipts). Provides technical assistance to all travelers. Instructs, installs and troubleshoots the travel software program. Reviews and audits travel documents prepared to ensure valid accounts, regulatory, policy, and other required guidelines are met. Prepares payroll for office employees. Serves as a timekeeper and is responsible for input into computer time/attendance reports for employees and for transmittal according to specified time schedules. Answers employees' questions concerning pay, hours of duty and leave. Performs leave audits for incorrect annual and sick leave balances. Maintains the park's property inventory records ensuring all property is properly numbered and accounted for. Issues keys and badges to all employees. Reviews or conducts the purchasing or micro purchasing. Receives acquisition requests from employees, reviews them for accurate account numbers, object codes, justification etc. before sending to the Contracting Officer. Promptly submits payments on all invoices. Performs or oversees supply functions including receiving incoming supplies, materials and equipment, checking items against acquisition documents for completeness, and resolving discrepancies.

Pathways Requirements: If selected, you will be required to sign a Pathways Agreement which specifies the conditions of your employment as we've indicated in this job announcement. Failure to do so will result in termination of your internship and employment.
Physical Demands: Work requires sitting at a desk, standing, bending, reaching, walking and lifting.
Working Conditions: Work is performed primarily in an office setting but may be performed out in the field.
Telework: The National Park Service has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.
