The Department of Energy (DOE), Office of the Associate Undersecretary for Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (AU) provides corporate leadership and strategic approaches for protecting DOE's workers, the public, the environment and national security assets. This is accomplished through developing corporate policies and standards and providing guidance on their implementation; sharing operating experience, lessons learned, and best practices; and providing assistance and supporting services to line management with the goal of mission success as DOE's environment, health, safety and security advocate.
This position is located in the Office of Management and Performance (M&P), Office of Environment, Health, Safety and Security, Office of Headquarters Security Operations, Office of Physical Protection in Germantown, MD.
A successful candidate in this position will provide support to the security program that safeguards the DOE Headquarters buildings, personnel and information in the Washington, D.C. area. The incumbent will also serve as a liaison between DOE and other Federal and local law enforcement agencies.
This position may be filled at either grade levels, GS-11 or GS-12.

As a Physical Security Specialist, you will:
