Positions are located at the following locations which include the hours of operation for each facility:
Child Development Center: Watters CDC #1, Watters CDC #2, Eagles CDC, Gardner Hills CDC, Fitness CDC, Part Day Preschool, Tennessee CDC, Strong Beginnings
· Must be willing and available to work between the hours of 5:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
School Age Center: Airborne SAC, Bastogne SAC, Gardner Hills SAC
· Must be willing and available to work a flexible schedule, to include split shifts between (5:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.), Monday through Friday.
Youth Services: Middle School/Teen Club
· Must be willing and available to work between the hours of 5:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Kids On Site:
· Must be willing and available to work nights, weekends, and holidays (this includes Military Training and Federal)
· Must be willing and able to travel up to 4-hours away AND stay overnight to provide childcare at events in the following locations: St. Louis, Gatlinburg, Alabama, and Sevierville
NOTE: Selectee must be willing and available to work during the above hours of operation to include nights, weekends, and Holidays.

Entry/Skill Level duties include, but are not limited to:
·Maintains control of and accounts for whereabouts and safety of children and youth ranging in age from 6 weeks to 18 years.
·Assists in planning, coordinating, and conducting activities for program participants, including group as well as individual child activities.
·Helps prepare, arrange, and maintain indoor and outdoor activity areas and materials to accommodate daily schedule.
·Interacts with children and youth using approved child guidance and youth development techniques. Interacts professionally with staff members, parents, and local installation command personnel.
·Supervises children and youth during daily schedule of indoor and outdoor activities, on field trips, outings and special events.
·Observes a program participant for signs that may indicate illness, abuse or neglect and reports as directed. Notes special instructions provided by parents. Ensures children and youth (as applicable) depart with authorized person according to written parental instruction.
·Completes training requirements using approved OSD and Service materials to include designated training modules. Participates in program evaluation using designated instruments such as programmatic rating scales, risk assessment tools (as required) self-inspection materials and national accreditation tools.
·Inventories equipment on a recurring basis and recommends replenishing damaged, missing, and depleted supplies. Secures supplies, equipment, and facilities. Collects, maintains, and reports program participation data.
·Performs other related duties as assigned.
Target Level duties include, the above mentioned duties, and are not limited to the following:
·Reviews, provides input to, and implements schedules and activity plan.
·Demonstrates, instructs, leads and facilitates planned and spontaneous program activities. Sets up displays and bulletin boards.
·Participates in program evaluation using designated instruments such programmatic rating scales, risk assessment tools (as required), self-inspection materials, and national accreditation tools.
·Assists in achieving and maintaining DoD certification and national accreditation or equivalent.
·Provides care/supervision, oversight, and accountability for program participants in compliance with local policies, guidance, and standards.
·Collects, maintains and reports program participation data.
·Performs other related duties as assigned.
Conditions of Employment:

3 Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15m, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation is required.
4. Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations IAW current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations.
5. For positions in Child Development Centers, possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs., walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis.
6. Incumbent is legally required to report all suspected incidents of child abuse/neglect.
7. Individuals who have been trained will be required to administer routine and rescue medications prescribed by a physician to children/youth, perform CPR and first aid, and aid in providing a reasonable accommodation to children/youth with a special need.
8. Travel to on and off post locations may be required.
9. Schedule may include irregular hours, evenings, and/or weekends.
10. Duties involve working both indoors and outdoors.
11. Successful completion of Entry Level or Skill Level training requirements within prescribed time frame and demonstrated on the job competence is required before non-competitive advancement to the next level of responsibility of (CYPA Skill Level 3) or (CYPA Target Level - 4).
12. Successful completion of Annual training requirements within the prescribed time frame and demonstrated on the job competence is required.
