The Ambulatory Care Section of the Reno VA Medical Center provides care in various settings. The Triage area provides episodic interventions for patients with complaints ranging from administrative problems up to, and including life-threatening medical and surgical emergencies. The clinic services provide scheduled appointments for on-going primary care for large numbers of veterans seen in and followed at this medical center for a wide variety of common medical and psychiatric problems. The Ratings section provides compensation and pension exams for the Regional Office.
The Associate Chief of Staff for Ambulatory Care Service (ACO /AC) is responsible for the overall clinical and administrative function of the section. The Deputy, ACOS/AC is the first line supervisor for the Ratings Section.
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, On-call service on nights and/or weekends

Physical Requirements: The physical requirements of this position include lifting, prolonged standing and sitting, frequent bending, walking (distance), climbing, reaching (overhead, extensive/repetitive), repetitive motion and stooping. The mental/sensory requirements include recall, reasoning, problem-solving, hearing, speaking clearly, writing legibly, keyboarding, reading and logical thinking. The environment's pace can vary from steady to a sometimes fast pace requiring handling of multiple priorities, frequent, sometimes intense customer interactions, and the ability to adapt to frequent changes in a sometimes noisy environment.
