About the Position:
This Assistant Program Manager (Acquisition) NH-0340-03 position is located in the Medical Countermeasure Systems Joint Project Management Office at Fort Detrick, MD.
Medical Countermeasure Systems Joint Project Management Office.
The Joint Project Management Office (JPMO) for Medical Countermeasure Systems (MCS) consists of 6 Product Management Offices. These six product management offices typically have 5-10 simultaneous development efforts for evolutionary joint medical products that will enhance the survivability of U.S. forces. The primary objective of the JPMO MCS is to provide protection against Biological and Chemical Warfare Agents to service personnel thereby increasing the effectiveness of U.S. forces by limiting adverse impacts on personnel, operations, medical support, and logistics. As a consequence of current U.S. vulnerability in the biological and chemical defense area, development programs receive substantial DoD and Congressional support and scrutiny. The purpose of the JPMO MCS is to develop and produce Chemical and Biological medical countermeasures for use by all Services
