The incumbent serves as an Electronics/Materials/Mechanical/Industrial Engineer in support of DMEA's Advanced Reconfigurable Manufacturing for Semiconductors (ARMS), within the Packaging Assembly of Substrates (PAS) Branch. Responsible for all solutions involving microelectronic back-end IC manufacturing and assembly processes, which conform to established and accepted Military and Industry Standards (e.g., MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38535, IPC-A-610 Class III, J-STD-001 Space). Supports advanced microelectronics technologies in fielded weapon systems, and new developments. The engineer will design and run experiments, review data collected for completeness, accuracy and validity, and identify suitable and compliant alternative materials, substances, products, and processes all in order to drive process improvements. The engineer will be responsible for the development and sustainment of key quality assurance programs and will serve as subject matter expert on other similar projects.
