The Regional Director will be responsible for general oversight of the Detroit satellite office as the most senior ranking official representing the USPTO. Duties may include, but not limited to, regular status updates on space management issues, budget items, personnel concerns, and community outreach occurring in the satellite office. The Regional Director will coordinate with other USPTO Business Units regarding issues that may affect satellite offices, including Patents, Trademarks, Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the Office of the Chief Communication Officer (OCCO), and other satellite office Regional Directors.
Specifically the incumbent will:
