The successful selectee will perform the following duties:
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final (e.g., confidential/secret/top secret, etc.) security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. Must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Selectee will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment and annually thereafter.
Selectee must obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The position's duties are largely sedentary and consist of office related activities, including long periods of sitting, standing and walking, and operating telephones, audio visual and computer equipment. During field visits and facility inspections at various installations the incumbent may lift loads less than 20 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, walk, stoop, bend and stretch to reach objects The incumbent travels within the NAVFAC Atlantic area of responsibility approximately 15% of the time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The incumbent's work place is a typical office environment equipped with adequate ventilation, air conditioning, heating, lighting, and toilet facilities. The incumbent is not exposed to hazardous substances or environments in the performance of duites.
