As an entry level Accountant in the Division, you will perform, with supervisory/peer review and instructions, a variety of work assignments/projects. This work may involve minimal analysis in areas such as accounting transactions, payments, problems, reports, systems, and other related areas that can have an impact on the effectiveness of the Division meeting its goals and objectives.
Location of Position: Consolidated Financial Services Division- Kansas City, MO.
The Consolidated Financial Services Division (BGC) has two primary functions: 1) provide payroll services, through the Payroll Services Branch (PSB), to GSA and Federal clients; and 2) provide internal control oversight and financial management support to GSA Staff Offices.

Creates and submit reports from data systems as required by senior management, financial managers, program offices, or customers.
Process accounting transactions into the financial system, including corrective adjustments to abnormal balances or variances.
Supports agency and interagency customer service programs, resolving customer requests, issues, and problems.
Performs analysis and reconciliations of accounts including budgetary and proprietary accounts.
Analyzes abnormal balances and make recommendations and/or processes corrective adjustments.
Supports internal and external audits and reviews by providing data/information on accounting, financial management and related policies, procedures and reports.
Reviews financial and/or management reports.
Researches legislative or regulatory changes.
Prepares authorization documents, review and process payments utilizing a variety of third party payment processing systems.
