Serves as a Child and Youth Services Nurse for G9 Headquarters with responsibility for oversight of health support services in CYS programs (Child Development Center, Family Child Care, School Age Care, Middle School and Teen, Sports and Fitness, and Outreach Services programs). Develops operational guidance to establish and monitor health related program goals in coordination with the appropriate proponents and CYS representatives. Provides oversight to CYS nurses within IMCOM Garrisons. Coordinates and/or develops specialized training for staff responsible for providing services to children/youth with more complex health care needs. Conducts observations of staff, providers, and volunteers during technical assistance visits to determine competence with requirements. Develops IDPs for CYS Nurses and contracted CYS nurses. Works in conjunction with the CYS G9 Special Needs Program Manager to ensure specialized health requirements are met for children with unique circumstances. Develops trend analysis and identifies training needs based on reports coming into higher headquarters.
Serves as the primary liaison between G9 CYS Services and the Public Health Center. Has oversight of operational guidance in CYS health issues for CYS Services trainers, Special Needs Director, CYS Coordinators and Directors, and Community and Environmental Health Representatives.
