Program Completion and Conversion:
To be eligible for conversion, Recent Grads must: Successfully completed at least 1 year of continuous service; Meet the qualification standards for the position to which the Recent Grad will be converted; and Meet requirements in the Participant's Agreement.
Grades: This vacancy is announced at two grade levels and may be filled at either level. You must specify the grade(s) at which you wish to be considered. Otherwise, you will be considered only at the highest grade for which you qualify.
Performance Appraisal: If you are a current Federal employee, you must be rated fully successful or higher on your current performance rating to be eligible for promotion. You may be asked to provide a copy of your performance appraisal during the evaluation and selection process.
Background Investigation: All selectees will be subject to a personnel security investigation which must be favorably adjudicated for occupancy of a sensitive position and/or access to classified information. If you are selected for a critical/special sensitive position, you will be subject to a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). You must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance eligibility at the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) level. You will be subject to a random counterintelligence scope polygraph.
Drug Testing: If you are given access to classified information, you will be subject to random drug testing. If you are selected for a critical/special sensitive position, you will be placed in a drug testing designated position. You must pass a drug test before your assignment to such a position and you will be subject to random drug testing subsequent to your assignment.
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience:
For the GS-07: One full academic year of progressively higher level graduate education with major study in accounting, auditing, or related discipline, or superior academic achievement (SAA), may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement.
For the GS-09: A Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. with major study in accounting, auditing, or related discipline may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement.
TRANSCRIPTS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL APPLICANTS.
To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.

Trial Period: You will be required to serve an initial trial period of 1 year. The trial period counts toward completion of mandatory 2 year probationary period.
Probationary Period: Upon conversion to a career conditional appointment, you will be required to serve an additional 1 year under a probationary period if one has not already been completed.
Financial Management Certification: As a condition of employment, the selectee must meet the requirements of the DoD Financial Management (FM) Certification Program. The FM Certification Program is a course based program consisting of three certification levels. Level 2 certification must normally be completed within two years of the selectee's employment start date.
Mobility Agreement: Change in assignments of Auditors in grades GS-5 through GS-12 positions are in inherent part of career development and training. Auditors may be rotated within commuting areas where sufficiently diverse work assignments are available. In addition, all DCAA auditors must sign a mobility agreement. This agreement will only take effect if you are promoted. Further, a management directed change in location within the Washington D.C. Metro area can be required at any time if there is a need to accomplish a bona fide mission objective that is specified in writing.
