About the Position:
This position serves as the Business Innovation Coordinator with the Secretary of the Army's Office of Business Transformation. The responsibilities of the Business Innovation Coordinator are to study government and commercial industry best-in-class business practices and develop innovative concepts, theories and program renovations powered by digital technologies. The Business Innovation Coordinator, using intellectual analysis, develops strategic direction for Army business-performance improvement activities driven via policy and need for vast innovative business improvements. The position analyzes congressional, Office of the Secretary of Defense and other federal agency business transformation-related legislation and reports. This position is located in Pentagon, Arlington, VA.

The innovation coordinator with responsibility for directed missions; serving as the innovation coordinator and Army Ideas for Innovation program advisor for the business transformation efforts of the Under Secretary of the Army/Chief Management Officer, the Deputy Chief Management Officer and the Director, Office of Business Transformation.
Serve as the subject matter expert; exercising specified latitude for developing innovative concepts, strategies and plans for the Army's leadership. As a team leader or member, develop, design and implement innovative ideas or approaches that include analysis and assessment methodologies into organizational processes, systems and structures. Manage all aspects of the Army Ideas for Innovation program which solicits innovative ideas to assist the Army achieve valued outcomes through cost savings, increased productivity and lethality, safety, responsible stewardship and morale.
Represent Army viewpoints that directly affect accomplishment of innovative Army programs in formal meetings and in contacts with governmental and commercial industry officials.
Exercise independent technical judgment concerning the interpretation of policy planning, designing and executing assigned innovation projects; resolving technical conflicts and integrating and coordinating the work to achieve directed outcomes.
Engage, at various high-levels, with senior executives, managers and leaders in the development of overall strategy, planning, goals and objectives for assigned work, ensuring clear interpretation of relevant policy, legal compliance and functions of applied staff to enable delivery of measured outputs and outcomes.
