Serves as Lead Program Associate, in a Child and Youth Services (CYS) program, with responsibility for the operation of the activity or a program. Works in ratio with children and youth, and monitors staff/children and youth ratios to ensure adequate staffing. Organizes and distributes work to CYS Program Assistants. Demonstrates proper work methods and provides work-related guidance to subordinates. Models appropriate behaviors and techniques for working with children/youth. Maintains control of accounts for the whereabouts and safety of children and youth. Oversees arrival/departure of children/youth.

2.Must be 18 years of age at time of employment.
3.Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15m, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation is required.
4. Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations IAW current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations.
5.Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs., walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis.
6.Incumbent is legally required to report all suspected incidents of child abuse/neglect.
7.Individuals who have been trained will be required to administer routine and rescue medications prescribed by a physician to children/youth, perform CPR and first aid, and aid in providing a reasonable accommodation to children/youth with a special need.
8. Satisfactory performance, successful completion of training requirements (transition and/or annual) and demonstrated on the job competency is required.
