This positions is located in the Department of Primary Care at Madigan Army Medical Center
Joint Base Lewis-McChord is a military installation (Army and Airforce) located approximately 9 miles from the city of Tacoma, Washington. The duties of this position include:
-Performing medical screening examinations by securing health and medical history from the patient or family member, recording findings, and making clinical evaluations.
-Examining patients and performing initial patient work-up and assessment of patients' care and treatment.
-Determining the need for and ordering laboratory tests, X-rays, and other procedures necessary to complete assessment of the patient.
-Treating patients by diagnosing disease, illness disorders or injuries.
-Writing prescriptions, dispensing medications, and prescribing controlled substances in accordance with approved treatment protocols.
