Performs a variety of tasks involved with the maintenance and employment of small craft, single and double propeller boats, dredges and related equipment, crusher and screening plant, front loaders, excavators, bulldozers, diesel pumps, and operating a variety of motor vehicles.
Operates a hydraulic suction cutterhead dredge and other equipment associated with mechanical sediment removal from rivers, backwaters, canals, etc. Remotely operates booster pumps associated with the transport of dredged material to the disposal site.
Operates engineering and construction equipment associated with the crushing, sorting and stockpiling of rock to include screening machines and plants as well as track-mounted rock crusher up to 200 ton per hour production capacity.

Working Conditions: Work is performed both inside and outside. Outside work is performed in all weather conditions found in the southwestern desert, including extreme heat. Position requires standing, stooping, bending and working in awkward or restricted positions.
Pre-employment Physical: If selected, you are required to obtain and successfully pass a pre-employment physical examination by a licensed physician certifying to your ability to perform the duties of the position. This is not required if a comparable examination was required for placement in your current position and was completed within the last year; however, verifiable documentation of a comparable physical is required.
