About the Position:
This position is located at US Army Health Clinic-Schofield Barracks, Family Medicine Clinic, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
U.S. Army Health Clinic-Schofield Barracks, provides a wide variety of services and quality health care to the majority of the 36,000 Soldiers and their families assigned to the 25th Infantry Division, 8th Theater Sustainment Command, and other commands, as well as some military retirees. Schofield Barracks is nestled at the foot of the Waianae mountain range on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. The installation is located a few miles from the towns of Wahiawa and Mililani and is 17 miles from Honolulu. The 17,725-acre Schofield Barracks site was established in 1908 to provide a base for the Army's mobile defense of Pearl Harbor and the entire island.
Hawaii has many outdoor activities all year round including surfing, paddling, diving, fishing, and hiking. Conversely, Hawaii has one of the highest costs of living in the United States. The rental market is also very high, as are vehicle operating costs. Federal employees in Hawaii are currently entitled to receive a 11.32% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary. This is subject to change.
Term employment is subject to a one year trial period.
This is a Term position scheduled to last two years. A term position may be extended to a maximum of six years depending upon the needs of management.
This position will require up to 5% Business Travel.
