Serves as a technical specialist responsible for directing environmental compliance activities on project features as well as assuring project compliance with NEPA and other Acts.
Manages the preparation of individual environmental impact statements, assessments and other documents.
Participates in public meetings, hearings, and conferences as a representative of Reclamation to collect and evaluate environmental and planning data, formulate environmental documents and other matters pertaining to environmental programs.
Participates as a member of assigned teams, preparing assessments, reports, papers, on ecological, physical, and cultural aspects of planned undertakings providing team with overall guidance on environmental issues and policies.
Prepares detailed supporting schedules, program and budget data, procurement justifications, and status reports for assigned projects. Serves as Contracting Officer's Authorized Representative in monitoring performance of contractor's work, reviews, and technically approves contract deliverables.
Writes reports documenting findings and recommendations for solution of identified environmental problems. Prepares general written correspondence in response to public inquiry and comment.

KSA 3: Knowledge of program and project team management principles to provide advisory, reviewing, and evaluative services relative to environmental issues.
KSA 4: Skill in oral and written communication to act as Reclamation's representative at meetings and communicate with employees, managers, contractors, and public in order to establish effective working relationships to motivate others to a particular course of action, and prepare a variety of environmental documents and reports.
