This position is located at 149FW, Kelly AFB, San Antonio, TX. The purpose of this position is to serves as the Security Police NCOIC for the ANG Security Police Squadron tenant on an active duty, AFRES or other DOD component. Aggressively facilitates, and leads security police programs at an Air National Guard Base, to include installation security, air base ground defense, conventional weapon systems security, law enforcement, training, resource protection, information security, personnel security, industrial security, wartime information security, and security classification management.
TEXAS AIR NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Texas Air National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.
Military Grades: E6 (TSgt) not to exceed E7 (MSgt)
Compatible Military Assignments: 3P0X1
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS
Series GS-0080 applicants must have the capacity to perform essential functions and operations without risk to themselves or others. Must have normal color vision; and, must meet the military physical demand ratings for lifting and standing work. Must physically qualify in compliance with Department of Defense, along with the Department of the Air Force medical standards, as required/specified by the applicable Air Force military skill medical requirements.
OTHER QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Air National Guard: Must have a high school diploma .
