The successful selectee will perform the following duties:
All qualifications requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and clearly documented in your resume. Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326. Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. Selectee must obtain and maintain a current Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce certification. This position requires 25% travel. The position will also require some bending, stooping, lifting and carrying of luggage and other materials to and from and from and at the TDY site. Employee may be required to return to the duty station outside the scheduled hours of work under "call back" procedures. Work is normally performed in an office building, office-like setting, or a conference center involving everyday risks or discomforts and which require normal safety precautions. The areas are adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. Safe work practices are exercised in moving around the office and using a variety of equipment. While on TDY to a warehouse or staging facility or an U.S. Navy ship, the incumbent may be exposed to temporary conditions with exposure to potentially harmful agents such as high level noise, fumes, dust, heat, cold, chemicals, and poor ventilation and the elements of weather such as rain, snow, etc. To ensure employee safety and health, there are personnel protective programs and practices in place that consistent with applicable laws and regulations. Continued from Requirements: This position has been designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position in specialty area 62 and as a condition of employment incumbents of the position are required to comply with the DON Cyber IT/CSWF Program requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2, which include: 1. Earn and maintain appropriate credentials from the Cyber IT/CSWF Qualification Matrix (SECNAV M-5239.2) associated with the specialty area and level commensurate with the scope of major assigned duties for the position to which you are assigned, and; 2. Participate in a continuous learning program as described in SECNAVINST 1543.2. A minimum of 40 hours of Cyber IT/CSWF related continuous learning annually documented in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor. The incumbent must meet qualification requirements of the specialty area assigned as delineated in Appendix 4 or SECNAV M-5293.2. Applicant must complete this requirement within 6 months upon hiring.
