This position is located at Morale Welfare Recreation Fund Youth Sports and Fitness, Fort Meade MD.
About this position: This is a Regular Full Time position with 40 hours per workweek.
Work Schedule: Work week-Thu-Wed (NAF pay week), early mornings, evenings and some weekends (Saturday's depending on the season). Irregular tour of duty/mandatory annual trainings are required.

- Must be prepared to work most evenings and weekends. Work space: office, warehouse, sports fields and gymnasiums.
- Must prepared to work with and oversee use of large machinery for field maintenance.
- Will directly supervise and oversee 6-10 employees.
- Expected to oversee or conduct field maintenance (32 acres complex)
- Expected to reach 3500 actual filled child / youth sports spaces per year across team sports, individual sports, functional fitness and outreach programs.
- Expected to recruit and retain a considerably large amount of background checked coaches throughout the year
- Required to complete bi-weekly payroll and annual performance reviews for employees
- Expected to efficiently manage a large budget
- May oversee Sport related SKIES instructional classes
- Position is directly supervised by the CYS Administrator and CYS Chief.
- Dress code: business casual when attending meetings and briefings.
- Expected to be a GPC Card Holder and Contact Officer Representative (COR)
Conditions of Employment:
All required background checks of AR 215-3, 2-13, I to include a Child and Youth National Agency Check with Inquiries (CNACI), and a health assessment, and Fingerprints are required. Satisfactory performance, successful completion of required training, and demonstrated on the job competency is required. Travel to on and off post locations required. Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors. Must have or be able to obtain a Certified Sports Administration Credential.

An undergraduate degree in physical education (or related fields) may be substituted for a year of the required experiences this position.
