This National Guard position is for a AIRPLANE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR, Position Description Number D1809P01 and is part of the AZ 162nd Wing, Air National Guard.
Must be qualified minimum 2-ship F-16 Flight Lead and current in the F-16.

Award of entry level to the technician position's compatible military skill, without a completed SSBI, is authorized provided an interim Top Secret security clearance was granted.

AIRPLANE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR, GS-2181-13, this position is located at the 162nd Wing, Tucson, Arizona at the unit level in the ANG Aviation Wing, Operations Group at selected Air Combat Command (ACC) and Air Education Training Command (AETC) gained flying units in the Air National Guard (ANG). The primary purpose of the position is to provide ground and flight instruction in high performance unit military fighter aircraft, F-16 weapon systems. In addition to flying training responsibilities, flight instructors perform assignments related to the operational readiness of their unit and administrative tasks in support of the Operations Group program.
National Guard Membership is required.
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.
