About the Position:This position is located at the San Juan Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) Command in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Guaynabo is known as "Capital del Deporte" (Capital of the Sport). Guaynabo is located in the northern coast of the Island, north of Aguas Buenas; south of Cataño; east of Bayamon; and west of San Juan. Fruits are the principal crops grown in the surrounding rural area. The San Juan MEPS was originally organized in April 1955 as the Armed Forces Examination and Induction Station (AFEIS) San Juan and was a unit of the U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC).
This position does NOT provide guaranteed work hours each week, and work will be assigned on an intermittent "as needed basis". The work schedule will be flexible and the employee will be called in to duty as needed. This position is listed at an annual salary, however, this is NOT an accurate representation of total salary as it assumes a 40 hour work week. Pay will depend on actual hours worked.
This position will NOT lead to a full-time position.
Hourly rate for this position: $14.07/hr - $18.28/hr.
Benefits are limited: Intermittent employees are eligible for participation in the Federal Employee Retirement Plan (FERS) as well as the Thrift Savings Plan. They are NOT eligible to enroll in health, dental, vision or life insurance plans with this position, nor paid vacation or sick days.

Responsible for administering written tests in the local commuting area of this announcement and up to a 100 mile radius when necessary, using your own vehicle to transport test material.
Conduct specified aptitude examination sessions ranging in size from 1 to 40 persons (Enlistment tests) and 1 to 250 persons (Student tests) while maintaining order and a smooth operating environment at a predetermined time and place.
Conduct quality control checks to ensure all forms are properly completed and make corrections as needed.
Transfer materials to and from the site, including the school being tested, and generally involves travel for a maximum of 1 to 2 hours per test session.
Responsible for picking up and returning controlled test material at the designated storage area (which might be the MEPS Station, a remote testing location, the employee's home or shipping point.
Responsible to monitor applicants to detect possible imposters and deal with those imposters.
Maintain test room control and decorum with the assistance of military recruiters who assist in maintaining student test session control and test security.
