This position is located at The Youth Center. the Youth Center has a wide range of programs, offering fun-filled afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Free Middle School Teen (MST) programs are offered daily after school and in the afternoons during the summer for youth ages 11-15 and teens ages 16-18. MST morning camps are also offered at a nominal fee during the summer to complement the free afternoon program.
There are special activities for youth ages 11-18 scheduled on a continual basis, including social activities and field trips. CYSS programs utilize partnerships with 4-H Clubs, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and Character Counts to bring enhanced curriculum and other opportunities for growth and development to our children and youth. Programs are intended to offer positive alternatives that will minimize "at risk" behavior during parental duty hours.

Responsible for the operation of the Child and Youth Services (CYS) Homework Center. Provides assistance to participants in strengthening their academic and learning skills, particularly in the areas of math, science, and English language (communication) skills. Works with Youth Education Support Services staff to develop and implement a comprehensive program to assist students in the completion of daily homework assignments, reinforce existing and develop new skills, and positively support children through recognition of their efforts. Provides care/supervision, oversight, and accountability for program participants in compliance with DoD, Army and local policies, guidance, and standards.
Works with senior staff to provide instruction and training to lower level employees on working in the homework center. Provides input to CYS training plan based on observed training needs.
Secures supplies, equipment, and facilities.
Completes designated training requirements and records completed training on own Individual Development Plan (IDP).
