SALARY: $149,496 - $180,000 per annum. (Air Force Tier 1) SES members are eligible for bonuses and/or ranks and stipends in addition to annual salary. This is a Senior Level (SL) Competitive Service position and is assigned a precedence priority code of DV-6 (equivalent to a Brigadier General) for protocol purposes.

BASIC DUTY SUMMARY: The Technical Director for Analysis, Targeting and Cyber, a DISL position (General Officer-level), provides the Intelligence Director with senior functional expertise in the analysis, targeting and cyber mission and responsibilities. The incumbent advises the Director of Intelligence on substantive intelligence, reconnaissance, and surveillance (ISR) issues, scientific and technical direction, and management of the total mission with a focus on the integration of processes and standards for intelligence analysis, targeting, and cyber ISR. Incumbent provides functional expertise in these domains, to include: all matters of operational intelligence tradecraft, methods and standards; Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence community (IC) information architectures, tools, and intelligence applications; organization roles and functions across the joint, IC, and Air Force intelligence enterprises; and integration of new intelligence technology with command and control, space, electronic combat, information operations, and foreign technology. Incumbent serves as the Intelligence Director's senior technical representative to the Air Staff, national intelligence agencies, and other policy-level organizations for analysis, targeting and cyber. The incumbent provides expert analytic input and program advice to the Director and direction to the ACC work force to include developing short, intermediate, and long-range plan options, and deciding on or advising the Director on appropriate alternatives to meet changing mission requirements. Serves as the ACC Senior Intelligence Officer in the absence of the Director and Associate Director.
KEY POSITION: This position is designated as a Key Position IAW AFI 36-507. Duties of the position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations. Incumbents must be removed from their military recall status if alternatives for filling the position during an emergency are not available.

RATING AND RANKING METHODS: Applications will be evaluated against the qualifications requirements. Failure to meet any one of the Mandatory, Technical or Senior Professional Qualifications standards will eliminate a candidate from further consideration. Candidates will be evaluated for this position by a screening panel composed of a diverse mix of senior executives and/or general officers selected for organizational and/or functional backgrounds relevant to this position. The panel discusses each application and reaches consensus as to the Best Qualified, Qualified or Not Qualified candidates. Only the Best Qualified candidates will be interviewed. The panel will then make a recommendation of those Best Qualified candidates who should be referred to the selecting official, in priority order. Final selection is contingent upon the Air Force Executive Resources Board and SecAF approval.
