This is a temporary student internship opportunity under the Pathways Program. The major objective of the Pathways Program is to employ students, giving them a chance to work in a Federal agency and resume or continue their education without interruption caused by financial pressure. Students appointed may work part-time while school is in session and full-time (depending upon the needs of the agency) when students are on a vacation period or whenever the school is officially closed.
This opportunity is intended for (but not limited to) students who are pursuing a degree path, courses, or have the career goal of employment in the field of Engineering.
This position is located with the Bureau of Reclamation, Technical Services Center, Engineering and Laboratory Services Division, Concrete, Geotechnical, and Structural Laboratory, located in Lakewood, Colorado. - Utilizes a limited understanding of electrical engineering principles, electrical procedures, and electrical practices gained from previous education, training, and experience.
- Exercises and applies a basic knowledge of computer technology as it pertains to planning, design, operation, protection, and control of power systems.
