As a CONTRACT SPECIALIST, GS-1102-7, you will you will plan the overall approach to meet contracting program objectives for procuring a wide variety of requirements. Procure a wide variety of services, commodities, and/or construction. Execute post-award contract performance management actions on assigned contracts. Provide business advice and guidance to technical personnel and others on contracting work and prepare correspondences. Perform other duties as assigned.

Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. You must meet the following Education requirement to qualify for this position.
MANDATORY POSITIVE EDUCATION
Minimum Requirements for All ARNG and ANG Civilian Grades and Military Ranks.
1. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.
AND
2. At least 24 Semester Hours in any combination of the following studies: Accounting, Business, Finance, Law, Contracts, Purchasing, Economics, Industrial Management, Marketing, Quantitative Methods, or Organization and Management.
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience. To qualify for GS-1102 positions on the basis of completed graduate education, the graduate education must be in one of -or- be a combination of the following required disciplines: Accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management; or, one full academic year of graduate law school, or superior academic achievement in a law school program.
You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
