These positions provide supervisory medical administrative support to the Ancillary and/or Surgical Clinics within Medical Administration Service located at the Miami VA Medical Center. The incumbent is an integral member of the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) and effectively carries out day-to-day administrative operations of clinical services. The incumbent is responsible for assuring accurate appointment management and the coordination of all administrative information between the professional staff and the patient. The incumbent orients medical staff to basic administrative policies and procedures dealing with clinical and community scheduling and other administrative topics. Employee performs a variety of supervisory administrative functions associated with patient care performing a variety of medical services. Assigns and evaluates the work of subordinate staff; resolving complex problems to ensure patient services are met; identifies educational or training needs; makes final decisions on selections; evaluates performance, and takes disciplinary action when necessary. Provides management with productivity reports and identifies outliers with solutions to maintain continuity of service. Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements: Position is sedentary in nature, may be required to lift/carry 15-25 lbs. on minimal basis
Participation in seasonal influenza program may be required.
