This position is being filled under the Pathways Program. The program is designed to provide recent graduates who have completed within the previous two years, a qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution.
The pathway program provides managers a ready source of recent graduates employees and potential permanent employees upon completion of the program requirements. It also provides recent graduates with work experience directly related to the curriculum studies or career goals while offering eligibility for non-competitive conversion to permanent employment upon completion. What are the Eligibility Requirements?
In order to be eligible for an appointment under the GHATP Recent Graduate Program you must meet the following requirements:
You must be a recent graduate who has completed, within the previous two years a qualifying masters or equivalent degree. Veterans (as defined in 5 USC 2108) who, due to military service obligation, were precluded from applying to the Recent Graduates Program during any portion of the 2-year eligibility period described above have a full 2-year period of eligibility upon their release or discharge from active duty; however, this eligibility period cannot extend beyond 6 years from the date of completion of the requirements of an academic course of study.

This position is assigned to the Office of the Director, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System, Gainesville, Florida The primary purpose of this position is to train the incumbent in providing support to executive leadership and learning to lead a VA healthcare delivery system through assignments of progressive responsibility and complexity. This training is intended to build upon and enhance basic knowledge, skills, and abilities previously obtained through higher education and experience.
Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required.
