As a BIOLOGIST within the NATIONAL CLIMATE CHANGE & WILDLIFE SCIENCE CENTER, located in Raleigh, NC; some of your specific duties will include:
--Planning and executing complex studies and investigations concerning biological, chemical, and physical processes that affect ecosystems.
--Collecting data needed to perform analysis and write reports.
--Implementing biological investigations that affect wildlife and/or fishery resources and their habitat conditions.
--Communicating with staff on outreach products, tools, and materials.
--Assisting with research project management and tracking.
--Developing maps and geospatial analysis.
--Preparing oral and written summaries, reports, documents, and related products.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work requires some physical exertion such as walking over wet, rough, uneven or rocky surfaces; and bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities. Requires moderate physical ability and average agility and dexterity. The work is performed in an office, laboratory and/or field. Temperature and weather extremes may be encountered in the performance of the outdoor work. Duties may require the use of special protective gear.
