Serves as the focal point of the World Wide Web (WWW) for the social networking (i.e., Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, LinkedIn, Bebo, etc.) and marketing of services and programs. Works closely with supervisor, higher level managers and officials, marketing staff, and information technology specialists in applying and implementing electronic commerce (e-commerce) initiatives for the purpose of marketing programs and services on-line. Implements marketing approaches to improve business opportunities. Applies marketing concepts and knowledge as well as knowledge of current social trends and technology advancements to the internet. Provides advice to decision makers in setting goals and establishing priorities to support the organizational mission. Evaluates user requirements and advises on design capabilities and maintenance responsibilities. Studies customer requirements, translates into marketing strategies, designs and recommends format changes and file and directory structures. Ensures that all content displayed is fully accessible and conforms to higher level and regulatory requirements.
