Plans, implements and reviews child care food programs, home or center based, ensuring compliance with Army food
program guidelines and Department of Agriculture Child and Adult Care Food (CACFP) program requirements. Develops
local procedures and plans nutritious, cost-effective menus. Develops and provides training materials in nutrition, cooking techniques, family style dining, record keeping, health and safety procedures. Provides budget data for program.
Enrolls providers in CACFP, inspects child care areas to evaluate the overall program. Provides guidance on regulatory requirements, processes claims for reimbursement, prepares enrollment contracts, and publicizes the program. Conducts ongoing review and
evaluation of the program, makes recommendations for program changes and improvements.

Successful completion of a 4 four year college or university degree with a major course of study in dietetics, food, nutrition, food service management, institution management, or related science.
